1. Who we are, and what this covers

Selaryx is operated by Daniel Shterenberg, based in Israel. Contact: support@selaryx.com.

Selaryx is the controller of the personal data described below. This policy covers the Selaryx website and service.

2. What we collect

  • Account: your email address, display name and Firebase user id.
  • Birth data: your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth, including the coordinates our geocoder resolves for it. We collect this for the single purpose of computing your natal chart.
  • Other people's birth data: when you use Compatibility and choose to save someone, we store the name or nickname you give them, how you know them, and the birth date, time and place you enter for them. It is readable only by your account, nobody else can look it up, deleting it deletes it outright, and deleting your account deletes it with you. Only enter someone else's details if they are happy for you to.
  • Chat and readings: the messages you send, and the horoscopes, compatibility reports and natal readings we generate for you.
  • Subscription and payment records: which plan you are on, its status and renewal dates, and a record of each charge — the amount, the currency, the date and Paddle's transaction id, including any refund. We do not collect, receive or store your card number, and no part of our system ever sees it: you enter it on Paddle's own checkout, not on ours.
  • Technical: an anonymous device identifier for the onboarding funnel, and standard server logs. We also record how you first found us — the campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, the site that referred you (its domain only, never the full address), and the page you landed on. This is written once, when your account is created, and never updated afterwards.
  • Shared cards: if you create a share link, we store the card's contents as they were at the moment you created it — a fixed snapshot, never the live reading — until you revoke the link or it expires. Nothing on a shared card names you: no name, no email, no birth date, birth time or birth place.
  • Newsletter: if you ask for our weekly sky letter, your email address and the star sign you chose. Nothing else — no account, no birth date, no name. We email you once to confirm, and you can unsubscribe from any letter.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

We process this to perform our contract with you — computing charts, answering your questions, billing — and in our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and secure. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it by deleting your account.

4. Who processes it for us

  • Google Firebase Authentication — authentication, and the identity token our backend verifies.
  • Google Gemini — generates chat replies. Your message and the relevant parts of your chart are sent to it. It is used through the API and, per Google's API terms, is not used to train Google's models.
  • Railway — backend hosting and the PostgreSQL database where your chart is stored.
  • Vercel — website hosting.
  • Cloudflare — DNS and email routing for support mail.
  • Our geocoding providers (Google Maps Platform, and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim as a fallback) — the birth place text you type is sent to them to resolve coordinates.
  • Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd) — our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for every subscription: it takes the payment, holds your card and billing details, handles tax, and issues invoices and refunds. Your email address is shared with Paddle so your payment can be attached to your account; your card details go to Paddle and never to us. Paddle's own privacy notice governs what it does with them.
  • Plausible Analytics — privacy-focused, cookieless website analytics. It counts page views and a short, fixed list of product events. It receives no personal data, sets nothing on your device, and never receives your email, your account id or anything from your chart.
  • Resend — sends the one confirmation email for our weekly sky letter. It holds the address you gave us.

5. Where it goes

These providers operate outside Israel, including in the EU and the US. Transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. Chart and chat data are deleted within 30 days of account deletion; billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. A shared card's snapshot is kept until you revoke the link, until it expires, or until the data it was made from is deleted. A newsletter address is kept until you unsubscribe; an address that is never confirmed is deleted after seven days.

7. Your rights

You have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and, if you are in the EEA or the UK, under the GDPR. Exercise them at support@selaryx.com; we respond within 30 days. You may complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or to your local supervisory authority.

8. Children

The service is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Cookies and storage

We use browser storage for your sign-in session, for the anonymous funnel identifier, and to remember the campaign link you arrived through — for up to 30 days, or until your account is created, whichever comes first. We do not run advertising trackers and we set no advertising or cross-site cookies. Our analytics (Plausible) is cookieless and stores nothing on your device, which is why this site shows you no cookie banner.

10. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to the operator. No service can promise absolute security.

11. Changes

We will post a new “Last updated” date when this policy changes.
